The benefits of nanostructured materials are being exploited in
a diverse range of industries including electronics, energy
generation, biomedicine, catalysis and high temperature thermal barrier coatings. INNOVNANO produces high quality yttria stabilised zirconia

INNOVNANO manufactures
yttria stabilised zirconia nanopowders
for clients using thermal barrier coatings for effective protection of
advanced engineering products and components in extreme operating
environments. For demanding plasma spray coatings, our
zirconia nanopowders can be supplied as free-flowing, spherical,
micro-granules or highly-dispersed, high-solids suspensions.
Nanostructured coatings have shown higher adhesion, increased thermal
shock and micro-cracking resistance.

Yttria stabilised zirconia nanopowders in the tetragonal
zirconia phase are increasingly being utilised as technical
ceramics, where their high component strength and excellent tribological
performance are critical for reducing friction and wear in reciprocating
moving parts.
3 mol% yttria stabilised zirconia has
electrical and thermal insulation properties that make it suitable for
new and demanding technical ceramics. As its co-efficient of thermal
expansion is similar to that of steel, zirconia makes an ideal
corrosion-resistant replacement for steel components.

Through
its innovative physiochemical manufacturing process INNOVNANO is able to
produce industrial - scale quantities of nanostructured, fully-stabilised
zirconia nanopowders, in the form of 8 and 10 mol % yttria
stabilised zirconia nanopowders. Designed specifically for SOFC applications, these
high density nanopowders, with a homogeneous dispersion of yttria
throughout each zirconia particle, possess excellent chemical and
physical properties, to maximize stability in demanding operating
environments.

Aluminum doped zinc oxide is an ideal replacement of indium tin oxide
currently used in solar cells, LCD electrodes, touch panel
transparent contacts, flat panel displays and IR windows.
INNOVNANO has developed a high purity aluminium
zinc oxide nanopowder, with aluminum content selectable between 0.5 and 2 wt%. The powder is
consolidated to produce high density ceramic sputter targets with lower
sintering temperatures, uniform grain size and an excellent distribution
of aluminium in the zinc oxide matrix.
